August 2007: And then where are they?
4: After 3 last days in Colorado, Shari, McKenna, Kayla & Tammy fly to New York City arriving in the afternoon for a 4 day trip staying at the 70 Park Hotel (http://www.70parkave.com/home.html)
5-7: NYC Shopping & Sightseeing and tickets to see Lion King (http://disney.go.com/theatre/thelionking/index.html) & Grease on Broadway (http://www.greaseonbroadway.com/); Philip starts his drive back to Washington
8-10: Shari and the girls fly back to Seattle and get packed for the next trip; Philip arrives at Tiffany’s Resort on Lake Curlew (http://www.tiffanysresort.com/)
11-18: Shari and the girls drive to Lake Curlew
20th: McKenna having a “Grandpa Day” – going hot air ballooning and to the zoo with Papa John; Kayla starts “two-a-day” high school volleyball practice every day this week. Varsity team picked by Saturday.
21st: McKenna starts soccer practice
22nd: Philip’s Birthday!
27th: Kayla has afternoon VB practices this week

Let the adventure begin! June 30th marks the first day of Shari’s sabbatical! If you'd like a peak at what we have scheduled for these three months, keep an eye on this space. I am posting our current plans for the summer here and have every intention of posting updates throughout my time off. However, we'll see how well I do. :) I'm a rookie at blogging, but figured there is no better time than my sabbatical to try it out.

2: Kayla’s knee surgery follow-up & clearance to play volleyball that night
4: Independence Day BBQ & Fireworks on Lake Tapps
6: Philip’s last day of work; Kayla leaves with her friend Talette for a 10 day leadership camp at Camp Seymour, hiking and canoeing in the Olympic National Park (http://www.campseymour.org/Quest.htm)
9: Philip leaves for the PNW4WDA Trail Jamboree (http://www.pnw4wda.org/trailjam/index.htm) in Naches, Washington
13: Shari & McKenna meet Philip at the Jamboree
14: McKenna stays with Dad and Shari heads home
15: Shari picks up Kayla & Talette from camp in Gig Harbor
16: McKenna & Philip drive to Montana for the Divide Ride in the community of Whitehall from July 18 to July 22 (http://www.m4x4a.org/divideride/2007); Kayla starts a 3 day VB camp at Sumner HS
20: Shari & Kayla going bottom fishing with Papa John on Puget Sound for “Grandpa Day”
23: McKenna & Philip make their way to Colorado – making sure to find a place to by the 7th Harry Potter book along the way!
25: Shari & Kayla fly to Colorado to stay with Tammy’s family and meet Grandma & Grandpa Clyburn there
27: McKenna & Philip arrive in Colorado – McKenna stays with Tammy and Philip heads up to Salida.
28: Shari drives to Salida to meet Philip for the All-4-Fun Jeep Jamboree (http://www.mhjc.org/all4fun/) and then “swaps” with Uncle Tim on August 1 – giving Tim an opportunity to ride the last couple of trails and allowing Shari to celebrate her Aug 2 birthday at Water World in Denver (http://www.waterworldcolorado.com/pages/newindex.html).
